Meet Jeffrey Lee of Never 2 Fly 2 Pray in Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeffrey Lee.

Jeffrey, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a graduate of North Carolina A & T, where I majored in Fashion Merchandising & Design. That experience paired with a range of opportunities I had to learn the ends and outs of fashion design and creation, all led to the launch of my first successful fashion brand HTDOGWTR. HTDOGWTR was carried in stores nationwide. and proved to be a stepping stone to Never 2 Fly 2 Pray, which is a now clothing company where I apply my signature hand-dye and artistic techniques to our clothing that not only carries an inspirational message but is truly innovative from a design perspective. Through all of my success, I can still point back to the hard work and attention to detail I learned as a young child, as I helped my mother with beadwork for wedding and other formal dress projects she took on as side work – experiences such as these ground me and show me how God uses the experiences in our lives to demonstrate where he is pointing us to next.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road has not been an easy one. But God has truly kept and helped me through it all. While there are a variety of struggles, I can point to as it relates to launching and sustaining multiple successful businesses, such as challenges with manufacturers, etc. the biggest challenge any entrepreneur faces is believing in yourself and your business when it appears things aren’t taking off. For me continuing to work hard, stay the course, and maintain the integrity that matches my beliefs, has allowed me to reap the benefits of now seeing my products and work worn by people I admired from a far, that are respected global icons. For anyone reading this, never give up! Stay the course!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Never 2 Fly 2 Pray story. Tell us more about the business.
Never 2 Fly 2 Pray is a clothing company founded on the principle of the power of prayer but leads with the artistic designs and the signature techniques I have crafted throughout my years of design experience. We specialize in distinct and one-of-one clothing, that carries a powerful message, but is without question, fly. Wearing our designs sets you apart, in part because few people are likely to have the same exact item, and also because of we are thoughtful about each and every creation we offer to our customers.

As a company, I am most proud that we make every detail count – from the hand-painted shipping boxes to the specialty clothing tags that includes our messaging,our thoughtfulness comes through in each step of our process! Yep, I’m definitely most proud about that! Then again, I’m proud of how we maintain fast shipping, getting orders out in 24 hours, even with high volumes of orders – we maintain that standard. As a brand, what’s sets us apart is what we do, but also what we choose not to do. We believe our message calls for a level of integrity that we keep to from how we manage the messaging of the brand, to how we carry ourselves as individuals.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In truth, there is no way to truly know where things are going, however, my creative instinct leads me to think that as time goes on, people will be more interested in collectible pieces versus fast fashion items.
