Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Carter.

Amanda, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Well, a couple of years ago, I was working in a corporation that I had begun to outgrow. I prayed to God on what he would have me to do. Awaiting an answer, I continued to work but my ideas, concepts, and suggestions continued to get pushed to the side. I was frustrated and ready for a change but desperately needed the continuous income. Then one restless night, God began to download every detail of Jar Bar Boutique in my spirit. I started writing, creating, experimenting, researching, etc. And then, I took the necessary steps to make it all legit. Once I felt confident enough in entrepreneurship, I took a leap of faith and quit my job. Today I’m the owner of a two year old business where I now implement all of the same ideas, concepts and things I suggested that was taken so lightly. God is Awesome and I love what I do.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Lord knows it hasn’t been an easy journey. Ironically, owning a Faith based business; my faith is tested often. I’ve lost children, material things, and some times my mind. Entrepreneurship is definitely not for the weak. Faith without work is dead and the amount of faith that I have for the success of my business requires a lot of work. There has been some blood, sweat, and tears shed but in the end, it’s worth it. In the midst of it all, the one thing that remains is God’s faithfulness!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Jar Bar Boutique – what should we know?
Jar Bar Boutique is a Faith based Liquid Lounge. We specialize in the formulation of Lemonades, Ice coffees, wines, teas, smoothies, etc. We are currently mobile vending at different events around the state of Georgia. We are known for our famous lemonade bar that allows our customers to create their own lemonade picking two flavors of faith that symbolizes whatever they’re believing God for and picking one fruit inclusion that symbolizes whatever their body needs. I’m mostly proud and honored that I’ve been able to stay true to my vision and the feedback has been beyond amazing. When comparing to others in the same industry, I would say the menus may be similar but the concept is definitely different. Our concept will always make a statement. Our goal is to inspire and uplift our customers one sip at a time while offering a memorable experience.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I have to say none of this would be the same without my mom, Gerri Leggett. She’s always my number #1 fan in anything I do. I also would like to recognize the one and only employee I’ve ever had, my forever friend, Jasmine Gosha. Aside from them, I have a big village of supporters. Too many to name them all but I would like to say I love you all and thank you all from the bottom of my heart. All of the referrals, shoutouts, donations, social media love, purchasing, etc. means the world to me and is a constant reminder that I’m doing what God has called me to do. I ask for continuous prayer on a clear direction during our journey to brick and mortar.
