Meet Tahkyla Donaldson of DaBratKollection

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tahkyla Donaldson.

Tahkyla, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always loved shoes, clothes, jewelry, etc. Fashion in general. I’ve always had designer fashions but I realized a lot of people wanted that too but couldn’t get it. Everything was always too much money! I decided I wanted to buy products that people want in everyday life and sell it for the low. DaBratKollection recently launched on July 5th, 2020. We’ve managed to sell many items in a short period of time and I’m excited to watch it continue.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There’s been a few bumps down the road. When you start something new, it does start off slow and that’s a bit discouraging. I think that’s with all businesses. Then, you know, even though you start off slow, have patience until you start popping! With determination from myself and motivation from family and friends, I manage to never give up!

DaBratKollection – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
DaBratKollection is an online boutique that provides affordable self-care, hygienic, and essential products. We feel it’s our obligation to make sure anyone that decides to shop with us feels good about their purchase! We are committed to providing you with high-quality products and with the best customer service you deserve. We also plan to stock the newest trending items/designers as they become available, at affordable prices. So, stay tuned and shop! DaBratWay! DaBratKollection is well known for its original product, the all-natural lip gloss. Customers have really expressed they love our prices. I am extremely proud of being a young black entrepreneur. I don’t think we don’t see that enough and I think that’s something that makes me stand out.

What role has luck (good luck or bad luck) played in your life and business?
I wouldn’t necessarily call it luck but I am pretty well known for my Instagram content. A lot of people know me for dancing, so I have a somewhat large platform on Instagram. Now I use my post to promote my business alongside my dancing. You can follow me @therealtahkyla.
