Today we’d like to introduce you to LaRhonda Farmer.
LaRhonda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am originally from Southfield, Michigan. I majored in Pre-Medicine/Biology at Florida A&M University. During my senior year, I still wasn’t quite sure what type of doctor I wanted to be. After some research, I fell in love with the concept of Chiropractic. It was a way to help people feel better by addressing the potential cause of their pain as opposed to only taking medication. I later attended Life University In Marietta, GA and received my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. I have been in practice since 2010. I treat car accident injuries, general neck and back pain, as well as sports injuries.
Has it been a smooth road?
I learned a great deal in school. When I graduated, I was fairly well prepared to be a doctor. What I had not learned was how to be an entrepreneur. Those lessons were hard. Often, you just don’t know what you don’t know. However, I surrounded myself with like-minded individuals and absorbed the information they were able to gift me with.
We’d love to hear more about your practice.
I am a chiropractor that specializes in the treatment of car accident injuries, general neck/back pain, and sports injuries. Additionally, I perform D.O.T. Physicals for commercial drivers.
I have cultivated a family-friendly atmosphere in my office. In my office, you will be treated as an individual, not like a number. I live and work in the community, so I often see my patients while out shopping. I truly love that sense of belonging and contributing to my local community.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I believe that our city is a wonderful place to start a business. The most encouraging part is that people are friendly and willing to share their experiences and expertise.
