Today we’d like to introduce you to Aarahm Pirouzbakht.
Aarahm, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have been a professional body piercer since March of 2006. While I do travel a great deal, most of my career has been spent working in Kennesaw, Ga. While I’ve worked for amazing studios like Deano Cook’s, “Sink Or Swim Studio” and Brandon Bond studio, “All or Nothing” I’ve learned from some amazing piercers whether it was passed down knowledge from Shaman Bear or first-hand knowledge through Chris Steele.
I am grateful for my education in this crafts Working in a small town really taught me how important it is to treat everyone great. I enjoy the wide variety of people piercing introduces me to and I always strive to them feel comfortable, welcomed, and like part of the family. Body piercings & fine jewelry have always been my passion. I’m always willing to discuss it with my clients and work up beautiful and original jewelry combinations for new or existing piercings. After all, it is you, my clients that pushes me further into pursuing my passion.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road most definitely hasn’t been smooth. I don’t believe most roads that lead to success are. I’ve started piercing 15yrs ago, it’s always been my passion. However, piercings when I started hardly gave the financial support and stability to a support my family and lifestyle. So in order to support my family, I’ve always had to work a second job at night. So for last 12 years, I also worked in some of Atlanta’s well-known strip clubs; such as Follies, Shooters Alley, club Bliss, and 24k club as a bar back. So I would pierce during the day and work at the club until about 4am. It wasn’t until I started branding myself and becoming completely immersed that it started providing me with the financial stability to provide for my family.

So my business is called The deathly hollows piercing co. Inspired by My Wife’s fascination with Harry Potter. Plus the piercing needles are hollow, hence the name “The Deathly Hollows Piercing Co”!!! Currently, I’m an independent contractor working for well know studio called Planet Ink Tattoos In Kennesaw, Ga. My title is a body piercer/modification artist. I specialize in all things quality within my craft. I strive to make each and every piercing my best one thus far. What I am most proud of as a company is the smiles and quality I am putting out into my community through my craft. I’m proud of the path I took to get to where I’m at thus far, it wasn’t done overnight; it was done with a lot of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears. What sets me apart from others I believe is exactly that “ME” I think I perform comes with a piece and my energy attached to it. I’ve strived to inflict change whether it’s just a smile through my craft and that is what I believe sets me apart.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely I love our city and I feel it’s a great place to start out. Our great city is melting pot of heart and happiness and we all just want to see everyone succeed. As far as my craft goes, we have a lot of GREATS here in the city to look up as piercers and studios. For example, Bethra at Virtue and Vice! Chris Steele at Sink or swim studios! Gigi at Kolo, piercing experience. Can never forget a great in my book and gave me in into the industry Alex Guma, owner of Planet Ink Tattoo my resident shop. Every city has room for improvement for now, I just want to focus on how much City has already given me!!! Thank you Atlanta
