Meet Sophia Grimes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophia Grimes.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Sophia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was young with two children at the time, trying to make ends meet. I worked only to make minimum wages and living paycheck to paycheck. I was not educated on credit, managing a credit card, investing, and finances. Things got hard for me. I knew what I wanted, such as a nice car, a house of my own, a business, and to invest. The funds were not there and my credit was horrible. I decided to study and learn the terms of credit. I learn how to take care of and manage my finances. I prayed for wisdom and knowledge. The pain and the hurt that I carried that I was unable to give to my kids not alone I want to build a legacy for them.

I started with cleaning my credit, saving, and investing. Years later, I got married to a wonderful man and we had our 3rd child. We purchase our first home. I started my business SophiaGrimes, LCC to mentor and educated the importance of credit, investing, taxes, etc… how to transform the mind to greatness. The hurt and pain I went through, I do not want anyone else to go through it. That is how SophiaGrimes LLC started.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is not easy but with God’s help and praying to keep me in position. With people in my corner such as my mentors, friends, family, pastor, children, and my husband. I have a support team.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
