Meet Nylah Boone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nylah Boone.

Nylah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I would describe myself as a travel influencer and content creator. My journey began back in 2014 when I had the privilege of going to Santa Cruz, Bolivia on a mission’s trip. It was my first time out of the country alone and I was a nervous wreck, but one thing that comforted me was my fluency in the Spanish language. Being able to communicate with someone through their native language is truly amazing to me.

To this day, my passion for the Spanish language & culture has grown tremendously and turned into the fire that ignites my passion for traveling. My experience from that one trip opened my eyes to the world and all it has to offer. I love to see the traditions, the food and the language, to be able to learn more about the country that I am in. Since then, I have traveled to 13 countries and I plan to visit many more!!

Coupled with my love for travel, I enjoy creating content that shows the world my experiences. From my travel vlog on YouTube to my IG posts, I love sharing what I’ve learned, where I’ve been and how others can do the same!

Back in 2018, I began my YouTube channel, highlighting my travels abroad. Since then, I’ve grown to 4K subscribers, made more than 90 videos and this is just the beginning! That same year I began to take Instagram a bit more seriously – planning out my feed, posting travel-related content and engaging with my followers to create my personal brand. Today I have over 4K followers, I’ve collaborated with many brands and I’ve met so many other like-minded influencers that love the same things I do (travel, fashion, content creation).

This journey has taught me authenticity, creativity and overall given me the courage to go after my dreams and live life to the fullest! I know that this is only the beginning and looking down the road I hope I continue to inspire other like-minded women to travel the world and choose happiness for themselves.

Has it been a smooth road?
I have for sure, faced many challenges in this content creator lifestyle. For one, I am a full-time college student and I also work multiple jobs during the semesters. So, time management and consistency has been a huge struggle. For my YouTube channel, there are long periods of time where I don’t upload a video because I am so busy with school or brand collaborations on Instagram. With my Instagram content, I have hit a plateau with the pandemic halting all of my travel plans. Although this has been a struggle, I’ve just had to adjust and be more creative on my feet. I graduate this semester so I’m planning to use my free time to put more time into my craft and build a habit of consistency with my content!

We’d love to hear more about your work.
As a travel influencer and content creator, people know me for my travel experience/travel advice and my overall creativity/strategy with content. Lately, I have been working on social media strategy for smaller businesses! From managing their social media accounts to developing strategy guides on growth, I use my personal experience with branding/strategy coupled with my education in neuroscience and marketing to help other businesses or personal brands meet their social media goals.

Working with others and seeing success in the strategies that I implement has been such a fulfilling feeling! Although I’ve only had a few clients, I look forward to growing this into a full-time part of my life. I think that my experience and personality sets me apart from others. My journey has been pretty unique; I am a Neuroscience major at Ga Tech with a marketing background, I love my creativity and these aspects complement each other more than people think.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I absolutely love the diversity of Atlanta. No matter who you are or what you like, you can find any and everything under the moon here. From the music scene to the many startups to the plethora of engineers, Atlanta is a city of opportunity, growth, and culture. The only things I dislike about the city are the potholes and traffic, lol.
