Hidden Gems: Meet Miracle Harris of Miraculous Effects Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miracle Harris.

Hi Miracle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started Miraculous Effects Boutique in late July – in a global pandemic. The meaning behind Miraculous Effects is divine outcomes. During the quarantine, I needed an outlet that I was passionate about, could enjoy, relieve my stress from other responsibilities, and take my mind off of the horrific things that were going on in the world. While everything in 2020 began to seem uncertain, I knew Miraculous Effects would be the thing that made me feel optimistic even in the face of adversity. A great outfit always makes you feel and look good! With this in mind, I wanted to bring quality, trendy fashions to my customers at reasonable prices.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to launching Miraculous Effects Boutique hasn’t been necessarily smooth, but it hasn’t been hard either. Being a small business owner comes with the pressures of me managing all of the tasks for Miraculous Effects on my own. Having great customer retention and satisfaction is a high priority for me. Given that, I ensure that I provide quality customer service, products, and content that appeals to my audience.

Maintaining a balance between my professional career that has changed significantly due to COVID-19 and running an online store is something that I thought would be difficult. However, it actually helps with my productivity. In addition, I wanted to make a brand for myself. Being that my brother, Jacquees (R&B singer), is in the public eye, many people choose to label me as ‘Jacquees’ little sister’. To him, I cherish being his little sister. However, to my supporters, I would like to be labeled based on my accomplishments as an entrepreneur and educator.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
The most surprising thing most people may not know about me is that I currently work in the education field as a fourth-grade teacher that teaches both in-person and universal remote learning students. With gratitude to my Alma Mater, Spelman College where I learned effective pedagogical practices, I strive to be a change agent in the communities that I serve. I want to show others that it is important for us to follow our many passions instead of just choosing one!
