Conversations with Alicia Morris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Morris.

Hi Alicia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my business Pretty N Pink Bundles about five years ago but with school and then being a mom and trying to fix myself from a broken relationship, being homeless, I let things go on the back burner. But in March of 2020, I decided enough was enough. I quit my job and decided I was only going to focus on school, my two children and my business and I couldn’t have been more blessed to do so.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It most definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. At one point, I was pregnant and homeless but god made way for me as he always does. Going through a divorce and being pregnant and still trying to go to school and looking for a place to stay took a toll out on me but I managed to make it through and tough it out.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a nursing student first and I own my own business. Pretty N Pink Bundles. I love helping people and as long as I can remember, I have wanted to become a nurse. It’s been in me since I was a little girl. I also specialize in helping women feel beautiful. That’s one of the reasons why I started Pretty N Pink Bundles. It’s more than just hair it’s all things beauty. I know how I feel when my skin is right and my hair is looking good, I just wanted to help make all women feel the way I feel when I get all dolled up and pretty. I’m most proud that I was able to start my business and be in school. Most people aren’t able to get to the point I’m at, especially because of the pandemic and I’ve thanked God that I am able. I believe that my personality and my goal-oriented mentality is what sets me apart from others and my motto what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.

What matters most to you?
My family is what matters to me the most. They have been my backbone through it all. I had to set my pride aside and reach out to them in my troubling times and they have been there for me ever since. They motivate me and push me to become a better me. Especially my son and daughter. They look up to me and I can’t let them down.
