Daily Inspiration: Meet Hair Physician

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hair Physician.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story began when I was in college and was searching for ways to make money. As I was pondering of ways to make money, I noticed one of my friends who did hair and seen how quick the money was flowing in. After researching, learning from different YouTubers and trying to grasp techniques to make my own, I came upon my first client. A friend was in need of her hair being done so I offered and she agreed. After finishing and getting positive feedback from my friend I noticed that I was full interested in hair. I loved the outcome I even enjoyed the process.

Soon after I started placing flyers under dorm room doors to get more business. I came across one FSU student who booked me and called her father, who was a doctor right after the finished product. Her father then said he’s like a hair physician and that it looked amazing. Hair Physician? I thought to myself. And that’s where the name Hair Physician came from and stuck. After starting to make this a permanent source of income, I started to take classes flying all over, even to London to learn more and perfect my craft. That’s when I ran into Tamika Gibson (Owner of “BOLD HOLD”). After meeting her and traveling, supporting and branding myself as well as the BOLD HOLD brand was introduced to the opportunity of doing many celebrity clientele, including but not limited to: Reality Star Jessie Woo, Rapper Saucy Santana, and 1017 music artist Kshiday and Enchanting. No matter how many celebrity clientele I have, I really appreciate and love all my everyday clients. They are who kept me going and put a lot of positivity in my career.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I endured a lot of challenges and Obstacles my whole career. The Hair Physician Brand was not an easy road. Including having to dismiss my first manager for fraudulent activity. My next manager was my mom, but being a full-time nurse and a parent was a bit much to take on. Then I finally came upon someone I finally could trust and who understood the Hair Physician Brand. I dealt with everyday life things that the normal person would endure.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Manager Auzz Lachiono-Barnes; Mother “Mamma HP” Shameka Cineas, Brothers and Sisters, My Late God Mother Phyllis Barnes, and last but not least, my late grandmother Linda Mitchel.
