Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am married to Darrand Hand and the mother of five kids Zakia (26), Ericka (24), Ivey (22), Zariayah (21) and Kamran (9). I am blessed to be the grandmother of 4 Khryi, Aryaa, Ava and Indya. I live in Senoia, Georgia I am a Tax Preparer and I own Hands of Time Tax Service located at 37 Calumet Parkway Bldg J Suite 202 Newnan, Georgia 30263. I started preparing taxes in 2009 in my basement. I was only preparing taxes for my close relatives and close friends. I worked a full-time job and did taxes part-time. My clientele began to grow quickly. In 2014 I opened my first office at the Storage Xxtra office suites in Sharpsburg. I hired 2 Tax Preparers who currently works for me. Latasha Henderson who is my sister and Akyna Byrd, who is my sister-in-law. In 2017 I hired a 3rd Preparer by the name of Iris Alford. I trained and employed my family because I have always said if my business grew, it would be family-oriented.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to being a successful Tax Preparer has not been easy for me. I have faced a lot of challenges with becoming knowledgeable with the tax laws and being intimidated by IRS workers when calling on behalf of my clients. I decided to educate myself by attending online seminars and attending the IRS forum every year. My staff and I specialize in Tax Resolution. By becoming knowledgeable of the Tax laws, we are able to better assist our clients and prevent audits by filing accurate returns.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Hands of Time Tax Service?
My business is a Tax Preparation business. I have been preparing taxes for 11 years. At Hands of Time Tax Service, we prepare personal and business taxes. We are experienced in Self Employment and Business taxes. We are known for providing excellent customer service and working for our clients. I care about my clients and want them to leave my office with no worries. I have worked so hard to make sure me and my staff stay educated and up to date on the latest tax laws. I would like people to know that at the hands of Time Tax Service we work for our clients. We make filing your personal/business taxes less stressful. Our clients are our family and we make sure they understand their tax return before leaving our office. At Hands of Time Tax Service, we prepare personal and business taxes. We also offer audit assistance and tax resolution services.
