Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Miller.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m an entrepreneur myself and have many friends who are also entrepreneurs, consultants and small business owners.
We all shared a common problem. We were spending way too much of our valuable productive time doing administrative tasks, bookkeeping, marketing, media and social media, research, and analysis etc… All essential and valuable tasks but not revenue producing.
Some people had hired administrative assistants to help but found the time spent teaching and supervising was greater than doing the task themselves. And they were still left with much of the higher level non-revenue tasks undone. We didn’t have enough work to hire a full-time COO so we continued to sacrifice part of our revenue-producing time for these necessary tasks.
“Wouldn’t it be nice to find a high-level business manager or COO who we could share,” was a familiar lament.
I got to thinking how to solve this problem and Virtual Office Hero was born.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been pretty smooth sailing to date.
When one of my clients succeeds and grows to the point where they now need a full-time COO or admin team instead of my part-time service is a great joy for me. It also poses my biggest challenge.
I come in to a company when they are small and growing and by taking the operational burden off the shoulders of the principal, he or she is now free to go out and grow the company even bigger and faster. Soon my client needs a full-time admin team. Sometimes, I even help them find the team or the COO to replace my services.
It makes me proud to have been part of their growth and success. But, it does pose a challenge to keeping my schedule consistently full.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Virtual Office Hero – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Virtual Office Hero provides customized executive-level business management and advice to small businesses and entrepreneurs whether they’re looking for help for a day, a week, or for long-term regularly scheduled service.
I’m a problem-solver. Having worked in Australia, Washington DC, and Atlanta as a manager, organizer and advisor for a wide variety of organizations, I’ve accumulated a vast range of organizational and problem-solving skills. Rarely can I not solve a problem myself, but if I can’t, I’ll find the person who can.
Many of my clients are used to working by themselves. When something needs to be done they automatically dig in and do it. I love that moment when they realize they are no longer alone, that they can just let go of the things they dread to do. And, I love to see my clients grow and achieve the success they deserve, even if it sometimes means they need to replace my part-time services with full-time staff. I’m very proud to have been a part of their growth.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan to continue to grow my business and help my clients grow their business and watch them flourish.
