Meet Kendra Wright

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendra Wright.

Hi Kendra, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started Kloset Keeper Boutique in May 2019, shortly after graduating with my Master’s Degree in Business. It had been a dream of mine since walking into my first boutique in 2006. I knew immediately I wanted to have one of my own. The vibe when I walked in was very welcoming. I was greeted with a friendly smile and as I continued to shop there, the sales associate knew me by name and she knew my style. Being able to provide trendy clothing and accessories to women is gratifying. I love it! I want customers to feel joy and excitement when they purchase items from my boutique. That same joy and excitement I experienced when purchasing from my first boutique. Where I am today is purely by God’s grace!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My road has not been smooth but it hasn’t been all bad either. When I started Kloset Keeper Boutique, I became my own investor, marketer, and strategist, whew! I just wanted to focus on purchasing products, but there are so many other components when running a business. Attempting to balance them all can be challenging. However, I have taken each obstacle as a learning experience to become a better business owner. As the phenomenal Michelle Obama stated, “you work hard for what you want in life.” This is my constant reminder that the grind never stops in order to reach my goals.

Kloset Keeper Boutique was created to promote self-empowerment to help women wear what they feel and feel great wearing it. Offering apparel, accessories, shoes and all things for your fashion flair. I am most proud of how my business has grown. It’s so rewarding to see the results of my hard work. It motivates me to work even harder to level up in my business. My dedication to my business is what sets me apart. My willingness to ensure my customers are satisfied with the products and my service is important to me. Each piece that I pick out has the customer in mind. I strive to provide customers with pieces they will love wearing.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
In order to succeed, passion is an important characteristic to have. When you have passion, it shows up in your business. Passion is what makes you dedicated to making your business work, no matter how hard the process may be.
