Meet Ashli Sneed

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashli Sneed.

Hi Ashli, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started off by leaving a job with no career path or opportunity for growth. I wanted to find a way to spend more time with my family, especially my 6-year-old son, so I decided to turn my hobby into a career that I love. For over three years, I’ve enjoyed capturing people and places through my lens. It’s very hard to find someone that’s capable of understanding your vision and guide moments, so I chose to become that person behind the lens. As time goes on, I’ve come to understand the importance of capturing moments as often as possible. When memories fade, you can always look back and reminisce on past times.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My transition from part-time to full-time has been somewhat bumpy, but I wouldn’t trade those moments for the world. Some weeks may be so busy you double book and some weeks you may only have a client or two. Being a photographer, you have to understand there’s high demand and a pool of photographers that specialize in different skill sets that can cross over even into videography.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Ashli Blac Photography is known for portraits and headshots usually captured out in natural scenery. The thing that sets me apart from other photographers is the comfort level I’m able to provide, my vast experience in posing, quick shooter, and helping guide my clients to a shoot they’ll love that brings out their personality. They are not just my clients but models once done shooting with me. I give tips they can use for the future and provide quality service without overcharging. My editing is also done in-house by me. I’m most proud of my brand because it’s everything I represent: Honesty, kindness, compassion, humor, patience, and utmost respect.

What matters most to you? Why?
First praises always to the Divine (TMH) The Most High, but also the wonderful support system that I have. My husband, son, mother, and my amazing friends! What matters to me most is the love and wonderful energy I give and get back. I’ve gone from homeless to owning a home and having a family to share it with. I wake in amazement everyday.
