Inspiring Conversations with Sara K Pelaez of NWCG – New World Consulting Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara K Pelaez.

Hi Sara, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Entrepreneurship runs in my family. I first started in human resources, the recruiting side, and then I proceeded to earn a master’s degree in general psychology and the second one in clinical mental health. In addition, I pursued coaching certification through a rigorous program, and I am currently completing my Ph.D. in Human Development and Coaching. It is truly a satisfaction to design your own path and see your career grow and reach individuals that make an impact.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are a lot of sacrifices tied to entrepreneurship, but you can go as far as you want to go without false ceilings. It has been a bumpy road and many false starts. For each degree, certification, and license behind my name there are thousands and thousands of hours of training, work experience, and internships that need to be completed to earn them. Transferring licenses between states is nothing short of a nightmare. When I moved from Chicago to Atlanta, I had to start my business from scratch. But Georgia has been very good to me.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
