Check Out Saaraa Juddha’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saaraa Juddha.

Hi Saaraa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Since I was a little girl, I would fawn over the tall, beautiful models on America’s Next Top Model and pray one day I would be just like them. Unfortunately, I stopped growing once I reached 5’3 and I thought that was the end of my dream. I could never live up to the beauty standards I so desperately wanted to achieve. But as I got older I realized there were other outlets I could use to follow my passion.

I started doing runway shows for Indian bridal clothing where I networked with several designers and make-up artists who would later book me for their own businesses. I started posting on Instagram and TikTok and began booking modeling gigs for boutique clothing brands around the Atlanta area. I realized I did have something to offer in the modeling world, even if it wasn’t conventional. I continued posting modeling pictures and started making travel TikToks that eventually got me a deal with Holiday Inn Express! It has been very rewarding to be a part of all these projects and this journey has helped me to embrace and love all aspects of myself.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the midst of all of this, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes which brought some big changes. It would have been easy to give up on my dreams but I let the news push me even harder to keep doing the things that make life worth living. Although it has been a struggle to adjust, this new obstacle has shown me that I can overcome anything and come out stronger on the other end.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently work at an IT Consulting firm where I am on the track to becoming a project manager. I have always enjoyed being a team leader and collaborating with others. I am also currently training to become a spin instructor on the side as fitness has been a growing passion of mine in the last couple of years and I can’t wait to share that with others.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Being genuine with the people around you creates real relationships that can eventually benefit both of you.
