Hi Dia’Monte, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hey y’all, I’m Dia’Monte! I’m a 22-year-old cake artist & gourmet treat maker. I’m from Indiana but I’ve been living In Atlanta, GA for about 4 years now. I’ve been in business now for 7 years. I started off selling Strawberry Krunch cakes for just $25 chile (humble beginnings) lmao. I slowly began to get into treat making and creating a few custom cakes here and there (but mainly just treats lol). It wasn’t until I moved to Atl, when I began to fully fall in love with cake decorating. I started discovering amazing cake artists on Instagram such as (IamKakeKing, JessicasDessertStudio, BitsyCakes and so many others). I started practicing and taking online classes from other creators and just truly started falling into my own unique lane. I couldn’t be more grateful for the position I’m in today. From being recognized by celebrities/influencers, to actually getting a few celebrity clients has been one amazing experience this year. As this year comes to an end, I can’t wait to see where God leads me next year.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At the end of the day, I am a human being. Behind social media, behind these amazing creations, is someone who struggles every single day with their mental health. Discouragement and procrastination are my biggest struggles. As a business owner or a creator period, there’s so much weight we put on ourselves that will have us just wanting to give up on it all. But baby let me tell you, PRAYER and MUSIC works for me. My faith in God has come a long way since I’ve finally acknowledged that I wouldn’t be in the position I’m in today, if it wasn’t for him. Everyday I wake up, I’m another step closer to everything I’ve always wanted. So I use that as fuel to keep me going throughout the day because if I ever gave in and decided to quit, I wouldn’t be disappointing nobody but myself. So I ask God to just give me strength, to keep pressing (and creating)!

Monte’s Sweet Krunch specializes in custom cakes & gourmet treats. We design unique custom cakes for birthday parties, baby showers, anniversaries and currently just started offering wedding cakes. We also just released our own wearable merchandise such as T-shirts and hoodies, made not only for bakers but for everyone. Within the next coming months, our brand will be expanding by offering classes, recipes, branded products and so much more amazing things. So just stay tuned because we have some BIG TINGZ in the works!

Genuine love & support matters so much to me. If you don’t do nothing else, just make sure you’re supporting someone for the right reason. Authentic love is all I require. You have people that will befriend/support you for their own benefit and that’s not okay. If your intentions aren’t good, check yourself before proceeding.
