Meet Lissahn DeVance of Enraptured Events in Powder Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lissahn DeVance.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lissahn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always loved love and from an early age would read romance novels. It was always very easy for me to see the images described on the pages. From there, I started to become fascinated with weddings and started watching wedding shows, like “Who’s Wedding Is It Anyway?” A friend of mine asked me to help her with her upcoming wedding and I jumped at the opportunity. I was hooked! Knowing that weddings are the most romantic party you could ever plan and knew it was something that I wanted to do. I immersed myself in all things weddings, attended conferences and seminars, became certified as a wedding and event planner and mastered my craft.

After working full-time for many years and building a business simultaneously, I was finally able to accomplish my dream and go full-time as a wedding and event planner.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not at all! I’ve learned that nothing worth having comes easy. I’ve sacrificed outings, new clothes, or a something as simple and getting my hair done. All of my extra money went towards building my business and marketing it to others. It takes quite a bit of time to gain the trust of others and have them trust you with their most special day. I used to only have one or two weddings a year; nothing that would allow me to quit my full-time job. It was hard but I made it. I came a long way!

Please tell us about Enraptured Events.
Enraptured Events is a full-service wedding planning and design company. We specialize in telling love stories though details and servicing our clients with impeccable customer service and attention to detail. Aside from weddings, we also do special events, such as birthday parties and baby showers, and corporate events.

I’m most proud of being able to treat all of my clients as if they’re my only clients and instill that feeling in them, all while ensuring that no stone is left unturned on their wedding or special event. My clients trust me wholeheartedly and that says a lot about who I am and what I’m able to provide to my clients. They all know that they’re in good hands and I’ll always be proud of that.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I really can’t say that I’d do anything differently. I am a firm believer that everything happens in due time. Now, it’s my time!
