Since I was a little girl, I have always been inspired by the fashion world and the power that style can bring to a person. I believe that when you look good, you feel good. I was imbued with the mindset to follow my dreams and to never give up. That is why I chose to make what I am most passionate about my everyday career. Doing anything else would not be authentic. I enhanced my knowledge of fashion by majoring in Design housing and merchandising with the option in fashion merchandising at Oklahoma State University. There I acquired the creative skills in production and was instructed to the intricacies of the fashion world, which I was exhilarated to be a part of. I then launched SJ FINESSE fashion boutique online in 2020. With the help of my creative style and unique eye for inspiration, I can provide the essential means for others to be a powerhouse when it comes to their wardrobe, giving others that extra boost of confidence.
SJ FINESSE has been a dream of mine for a very long time. I have always been asked, “Where did you get that?” or “What inspired you to style that the way you did?”. Now, I am able to share my closet with others, displaying my inspirational insight and techniques for styling with SJ FINESSE.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
They say “when you do something you love you will never work a day in your life “I highly disagree. You will work all the time. My brand is my name so it’s challenging balancing a work life and a social life. Some days it’s all work and no play, then there are days I’m not motivated to do anything. Creating a balance is what I have found to be the most challenging, especially When you have such high expectations for your vision.

Well, I wouldn’t call any of my fortunes in life luck but blessings. I am so fortunate to have an amazing support system behind me in everything that I do. My friends and family are my biggest cheerleaders in life and support of my business every chance they get. Most importantly, they are there for me in a time of need. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. With that being said, I can only thank God for it all.
