Exploring Life & Business with Patricia Rosario

Patricia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m 41 years old and I was born in Brooklyn, New York. I moved to Atlanta at the young age of eight. I was raised by my mom and stepdad whom were vegans when it wasn’t cool. My stepdad Wanique Shabazz program director of community radio station Wrfg was always into metaphysical healing. He was a strong influence in my life, I remember him always listening to tapes and hosting seminars to bring healing and awareness. I remember having people like Dr. Sebi, Dr. Jewel Pookrum, and Queen Arya being at our house here in Atlanta. Growing up, I was kind of shy about the information that was embedded in me. I would share my lifestyle with close friends. I attended North Clayton and DM Therrell High schools. I received my GED at the age of 17 And had my first child at 18 and got married to my high school sweetheart. I attended Herzing college in Buckhead.. I went for computer information systems however that was not my passion at all. I’ve always had a passion for fashion and film. As a young married mother, my spouse (at the time) involved ourselves in church. We served in the church for many years almost ten. I think I was protected from many things for so long. Somehow we strayed away. Well, I know why we strayed, it was so much scandal, I’m like if these people who we respect and honor are frauds like what are we doing. So my life shifted. I went from holy Patty to Hottie Pattie. I started drinking and hanging out in the clubs. My friends and I was in the clubs so much we started our own promotion company and social click! We were known as the Pretty Committee we had a huge following on MySpace. Me being innovative and creative, I turned Pretty Committee into a business entity known as Pretty Promotions Inc. I worked with many clubs throughout Atlanta and private venues.

As I evolved, I enjoyed doing more events. Even tho I enjoyed partying and look pretty. I always had a passion for purpose. At that time, I thought I was living well, I had a job as a leasing consultant, which I excelled. My husband (at the time) was doing music so I was networking to get his songs played… I got divorced after 14 years. I was in a moment where I felt lost. But it was a blessing being lost helped me to find myself. I had moments to reflect on my purpose figure out whom I am and why am I here. I’ve had so many experiences and life lessons. Being a young woman in Atlanta; Networking building a brand, and establishing myself in the entertainment industry has been a journey. I’m definitely going to write a book about it, what to do and what not to do. My goal is to inspire young women. To teach them they can overcome all obstacles. It don’t matter what stumbling block you have, whether you rich or poor, smart or not. What you put your mind to and focus on you will become. Now I’m a published author of a 5 star rated book Executive Decisions 21-day AFFIRMATION booklet on Amazon. Expect a tell all book coming soon. I am now helping people reprogram their minds and maximize their potential.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think most people’s obstacle is not seeing the opportunity in the obstacles. Whatever you focus on will be your reality. Use the stumbling block as a stepping stone. We are able to over come all obstacles, God will never put more on us then we can bare. I went through, divorce, slander, abusive relationships, and many other hardship! With endurance and consistency we can overcome all!

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’m definitely a risk taker! They say the higher the risk the bigger the reward. I believe that. I’ve had wins and losses with taking risk. But ultimately even when I lose I win. I win because of the experience, the experience is always a gain or lesson. Don’t overthink! Lol, that’s actually Day 13 tip in my book! You have to know that faith is powerful
