Community Highlights: Meet Mikki Addison of WeCreateTees

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mikki Addison.

Hi Mikki, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started this journey after working in the banking industry for over 15 years, the company decided to close our department. I had decisions to make that would impact not just me but my family. I stepped out of the corporate world and went towards entrepreneurship. I stepped out and started making rhinestone t-shirts during football season. The response I received was overwhelming. I was only making Atlanta Falcons shirts, which lead to other request for teams outside the Falcons. I was not comfortable in the beginning with this new space, but with time, embraced that I could really make something out of this side hustle. Fast forward to today, I am not only doing rhinestone shirts but now specialize in group printing and assist small businesses with their visual branding items. I customize not only t-shirts but mugs, tumblers, coasters, mousepads, socks, wine stoppers, and so much more. I have also co-authored a book, Life of an Entrepreneur and have been able to speak at conferences.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been smooth at all, there are so many layers to starting something new. We all want the results and not realize the work that comes with starting. I had no systems in place, no website, nothing but some starter equipment and hope. I have since been able to build my social media page and get some organization to the daily processes. When you come from working for a company that has everything already in place to now you having to lay the foundation, it can be challenging.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a small business owner that specializes in branding promotional items for small businesses and groups. I enjoy the end result to all the projects that I have the opportunity to participate. I am known for being professional, being outgoing, and eager to work to ensure your items present the picture you had in mind. What sets me apart from others is that I aim to gain your trust and repeat business by providing great customer service.

Brand wise, I am most proud to have been able to share my story in the collaboration book, Life of an Entrepreneur which has led to speaking engagements.

I would like your readers to know I work with not only individuals but also groups, small businesses, event planners, travel consultants, and authors to help customize branding ideas for business and brand growth.
