Daily Inspiration: Meet Gabriela Lopez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Lopez.

Gabriela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I always loved make up but never knew how to do it professionally. I realized just how much lashes make a difference and I thought to myself, now that’s something I can do! I have really stepped out of my comfort zone with this. I learned to be more social and have met some amazing women along the way. I was nervous but I started my strip lash business in June 2020 and have not looked back. I love the feeling when women try the lashes and they feel confident about their makeup, lashes truly make a difference. Even with a bare face, you can never go wrong with lashes. I am obsessed with the comfort of Lavish Lo Lashes you can wear them all day long and not even feel them. We started with six styles and now carry 18 different styles and accessories. Our website will be launching soon at the end of March 2022 and we are stoked! In the future, I hope that we can become a beauty brand and eventually carry more beauty products, but for now, lashes are our first love!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are always struggles for small business owners, despite the pandemic, our lashes have done well. We are very well known in the Gainesville area. We have so many regular clients that are obsessed with the comfort of our products. I feel like there are waves when we are slow and then suddenly pick back up. We tend to do the best in the summer since we are able to attend pop up events, and people get to see our lashes up close. I would say the biggest struggle for me has been keeping up with the fast pace of social media. Creating content is not easy although it is fun, you run out of ideas on what to post. I am hoping our website will balance it all out.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specifically get asked if I do lash extensions and I don’t. Our specialty is strip lashes, but at my pop up events I always find women that want me to apply their strips. When I do, they get the WOW feeling of them. Then I get more clients from seeing how happy one got that, to me, is priceless. That feeling of glory when a women feels beautiful is amazing. I always tell my clients they are already beautiful, but lashes makes their eyes pop, and I don’t think you could ever understand that until you see it /feel it yourself.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I just want to say that if you have a dream, you go for it. It is overwhelming at the beginning to think maybe you won’t succeed, but you never know until you try. Put yourself out there. Don’t be afraid of change. You get the best results when you pour your heart out into your dream. It will slowly turn out for the best. Put your creative mind to work and you will be surprised at what you can accomplish.
