Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Campbell.
Hi Danielle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since my adolescence, my parents have always instilled in me the importance of having my own, then giving back once you have established yourself. Because of this value, I have always prided myself in having a strong work ethic in and outside of the classroom. Aside from my recreational activities such as dancing, skating, and working out, I found joy in expressing myself to a wider audience.
While being a full-time student and working from the age of 15, I knew that I wanted more for myself. So right before my 17th birthday, I started my own YouTube channel, and shortly thereafter, I created my own business and LLC.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting my own business has not been an easy road- AT ALL. Due to me being a minor at the time, there were numerous loopholes in me getting to where I wanted to be. Unfortunately, my business was started at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. With it being my senior year of high school, I had to responsibly allocate my expenses to my business along with other senior year fees.
Alongside me funding my entire business by myself, it was also a very arduous process as I did not have any proper guidance on how to run a business- especially an online business. I received great support from my family and friends, yet, nobody could help me along the way because nobody was on the same path that I wanted to take.
In addition to the pandemic and funding, I also had to experience great setbacks, which my small business was ultimately not prepared for. Many business owners tend to glorify their sales and success, yet no one really talks about the downsides of it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As of right now, I am a full-time student at the University of Georgia. While I am currently in school to pursue dentistry, I believe creating this foundation for myself has given me the confidence I need to always put my best foot forward.
I define myself as a creative because I ultimately wear many hats. From modeling, content creating to dancing, hairstyling, and being an actively involved student, I still manage to work on my platform which I hope someday can inspire and help others.
I am mainly known for my Instagram and YouTube channel because I try to be as transparent as possible with my followers/subscribers. Many people with a large following base mainly show the glitz-and-glam, but I try to create a safe space with letting my supporters know I am just like them. The good, the bad, the ugly- I document all of it.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Besides God and my family, I believe being a kind person overall is my greatest value. You can wear the nicest clothes, drive the most expensive car, and have the world at your fingertips- but what do you really want to be remembered by? People remember you by how you made them feel. You never know what someone is dealing with internally, so I try my best to be a vessel and spread my love to others.
