Daily Inspiration: Meet Glam Sosa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Glam Sosa.

Hi Glam, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always enjoyed playing with all things beauty. Since a child, I loved art, playing dress up and in makeup has been my thing. Now I am a celebrity makeup artist that has over 12 years of experience and I am self-taught. I have been a beauty consultant for Estee Lauder between 2010 and 2012. Since a child, I have played with makeup artistry. After I graduated from high school, I attended college for two years before I realized that I wanted a career where I would be happy everyday and not just be employed with a job and only happy with my check. I discovered while doing makeup that if I do something that I love, I will never have to work a day of my life!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an entrepreneur on any caliber is not easy. Being a freelance makeup artist isn’t much different. There’s several moments where I might have felt not worthy enough or things weren’t going how I wanted it to go but I always remember that it’s not how fast I’m going to get there but the beautiful journey along the way. There are times I prayed to be where I am today so I have to keep on going and be forever grateful no matter what.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a self-taught freelance makeup artist and cosmetic company. I specialize in all things beauty. I always remember we only have one face so show the beauty. Confidence breeds beauty so why not enhance it so everyone can notice another view. I am most proud of my cosmetic line. I am now working on providing the best primer for all skin types that grips your makeup for up to 24 hour stay with a pore less finish. I have lipstick glosses and much more in my cosmetic line but I am extremely proud and excited about my new Forever Matte Collection.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My mother is my backbone, my shoulder to lean on, my mentore, and my biggest cheerleader. Watching her raise me and my sister while pushing me to be great in anything that I do has always been my motivation. The smile and the joy on her face is always what pushes me to go further. Also, my best friend Chanelle. She always has pushed me to keep going and reminding me just as my mom often would of who I am and whose I am being a child God because quitting is never the option. My clients as well have played a big role in keeping me pushing for success. Reminding them of how beautiful they are and being rewarded with their beautiful smile reminds me to keep going until my talent and beauty products are household names just as big as the ones in the luxury department stores while being attached to all things positive. Last but not least my kids. Watching them watch me reminds me why I must keep going.
