Today we’d like to introduce you to Julian Suddith.
Hi Julian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started really in high school with my drawings and artwork then after graduated my mom pushed me to do something with it. I saved up enough money from my little Caesars checks to get a laptop and started putting everything towards a digital aspect. Willingly and deeply motivated to take to another level I decided to start my fashion company BIRDS EYE in late 2020. Dealing with some mental health and losses the progression slowed down but thank god that I’m past that dark point to where I’m at now. That being potentially working with NBA players and designing sneakers for them and continuing to do more pop up shops and get BIRDS EYE off the ground. BIRDS EYE is the foundation for the next chapter. I want to take it to new heights and expand out of just fashion and design other things because I ultimately just love designing and creating and being able to express myself through that, whichever way it is.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some struggles are really just finances and some losses of people that really meant a lot to me. I really wanted to bring some of my friends along with me in this journey but that’s life. Also one of my biggest challenges has been myself when I was on a darker path I continuously compared how things were going for myself and my company to others and beating myself up for not doing enough.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work at Amazon. It’s nothing I’m really known for, I’m more known for designing and always being a creative when it comes to my peers. I’m very most proud of my brand and I know 100% that my work ethic is truly what set me apart from others. I have so much that I’ve designed that will and can take me and my company to the next level. All I have to do is put it in the right hands and get it to the right customers.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I get a lot of my designs from my slumber. I have a vivid memory of my dreams as I wake up and a lot of the designs that are going to be coming to light very soon come from my dreams and nightmares. Plus some of my designs are from my earlier stuff when I would draw in middle school or high school throughout the class.
