Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Grant.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved all things related to event and party planning because my family would get together all the time… They called me the Project Mgr. because I was so particular about the event setup, decorations, etc.

When I became a mom nearly 11 years ago, birthday parties for my daughter were my favorite because I would bring all my visions to life, or should I say her visions. From the entertainment, party favors, balloons, and decor to the fun foods and desserts, I’d bring it all together for a great time.

Fast forwarding to March 2020, times became challenging and outside was “closed” lol… I had way too much energy and decided to make sweet treats as a little something special to compliment the many celebrations we began to have inside due to Covid-19. I began trying different things and with such positive feedback and encouragement around me, I decided to turn my long-time hobby into a small business.

I began with sweet treats because I thought that it would be a nice touch to have customized treats at any gathering, any occasion. I feel like it makes the moments more special! So far, it’s been great. I absolutely love it!!!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Along the way, I’ve learned that having a business is really a lot of work. Time Management and organization were a bit of a challenge in the beginning, but as I have grown in this industry, and thanks to those who have supported my business, I’ve become more adapted to my operations, which is an awesome accomplishment for both myself and my clients. Overall, I’d say it has been pretty smooth, so far!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Step So Sweet Treats & Designs?

I am a self-taught, licensed sweet treat maker specializing in customized sweet treats, desserts designed for any occasion. I offer a variety of chocolate/candy-covered fruits – strawberries, grapes, apples, and snacks -Rice Krispy Treats, Cakepops, Oreos, Pretzels, Marshmallows and more.

I also offer custom handmade pinatas, treat table set-up, backdrop, balloon decor, and party/event planning assistance.

When preparing treats or other designs, I make them with love. I genuinely want people to enjoy them and I’m aiming to please the senses of sight and taste every time!

I started Step So Sweet Treats & Designs simply for the pleasure it adds to one’s day or special moments. I have over 17 years of professional customer service experience and I bring that very same drive in my business! I love happiness and life, and I feel that we should celebrate all of the moments that matter! Then add some sweet treats!

I cater to all parties/ events, big or small, from simply fantastic to extra extravagant! Birthdays, Weddings, Bachelorette Parties, Baby Showers, Celebrations and any theme in between, I’m here for it!

I’m excited about where this journey may lead me. I am eager to venture into other areas as they relate to party/event planning!

What matters most to me is that my customers have a great experience with my services. That the products meet or exceed expectations everytime and that I am able to retain customers for future opportunities! I want people to be happy! I love happiness!
