Today we’d like to introduce you to Brendon Lynch.
Brendon, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Following an 18-year tenure at Anthropologie as Head of Global Retail and then two years as Vice President of Retail at David Yurman, I took the reins of Rudy’s Barbershop, as CEO, in the Fall of 2014. Rudy’s has 27 locations in WA, CA, OR, NY, TN and GA and employs over 600 of the world’s creatives, stylists and barbers. Rudy’s also has a growing line of award-winning unisex hair and body products.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’ve been fortunate enough to have strong mentors, partners, and teams throughout my career. I’ve learned so much from all of them and my experiences in the 20+ years in retail prepared me well for running this business. As CEO of Rudy’s, I continue to be challenged every day in growing our business and making our customers and employees feel their best.

Founded in Seattle in 1993, Rudy’s has always been more than a barbershop. We built our business by reigniting the modern barbershop trend and gave birth to the Ace Hotel. We’re a community leader and activist, and a source of creative energy and inspiration. Since the day we opened our doors in 1993, Rudy’s has been an ally and proud supporter of the LGBTQ community. We partner with the It Gets Better Project to provide shower products to a very vulnerable part of the LGBTQ community – homeless youth. With every purchase of our 1-2-3 showering system, Rudy’s donates the same product to a shelter that serves LGBTQ youth.
