Community Highlights: Meet Taylor Bryant of It Is Wellness Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Bryant.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been into beauty. Fresh out of high school, I started my beauty career as a makeup artist. I worked for Clinique and while being there, I found a love for skincare. Shortly after, I enrolled into the esthetics program at Aveda Institute. After I graduated, I immediately began working in my field, which led me to my love for lash extensions. I took a lash extensions course and became obsessed. I would practice every day for hours. I took clients out of my mom’s house and then created a small studio in my uncle’s barbershop. I lashed there from 2017 until 2020. I wanted something of my own, but I never imagined I would have the space that I have now. God gave me a vision of space with floor to ceiling windows and an open area and I didn’t stop looking until I found just that. I signed my lease to my space at the end of 2020 and officially began my journey as a salon owner in March of 2021.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t easy at all, but what kept me going was my faith and the vision God gave me. I didn’t have the best credit nor credit history and somehow, I was still approved. What seemed impossible to me was possible to Him. His yes was all I needed to keep going.

As you know, we’re big fans of It Is Wellness Aesthetics. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I offer lash extensions. I’ve been perfecting my craft and offering this service for five years. Being in this industry, It’s always new techniques to learn especially if you want to provide quality service to your clients. I’m constantly investing into myself and my business. My goal is to all around provide my clients with the best experience.
