Daily Inspiration: Meet Sirdarius Rashod

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sirdarius Rashod.

Hi Sirdarius, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey as a Police Officer, making videos of me dancing in uniform to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement together. It then turned into my videos going viral, me being on the news several times, videos being shared and posted by celebrities and make my way on television. Never in a million years did I think it would lead to where I am now, but I thank God for allowing me to reach so many people.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t always a smooth road. I had to go through some obstacles, like being fired from my job as a law enforcement officer because they didn’t agree with my videos and reaching the community. Not only that but going through personal issues as well. Not sure how I would make. How I could reach people without the uniform and grabs people attention still.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Now I am a Flight Attendant still serving people on an even larger scale. Being able to connect with people, collabing with people and just sharing positive vibes with people each and every day.

The content I specialize in now is all about positivity. Encouraging others to follow their dreams, never give up, and believing in themselves. I’m more about family; being a husband and a father. Sharing tips and tricks and just overall family content. Sharing our black love and black fatherhood while sending positive messages through comedy and dancing.

I am most proud of being on the NBC show, Dancing With Myself this past June. Do to my viral social media videos I have done, I was contacted by NBC and invited me to be on the show. It was a great experience of being part of the very 1st season of the show. I was able to have fun, meet so many other content creators and do what I love to do best DANCE.

What sets me apart from others is just being myself. Not trying to duplicate or act like someone else or someone I’m not. Being true to my content and giving the people who follow me good quality content. I do it for fun and to spread love, joy, peace and happiness to whoever is viewing.

What matters most to you? Why?
The thing that matters to me most is spreading love and positivity through social media. We live in a world that is constantly on the go. People are always going through things. Depression is at an all-time high. Suicide rate is high and its victims are getting younger and younger. People are all about self and not taking the time to just live in the moment. To be kind to others and be there for others who are going through. If we take the time to just brighten just one person’s day, imagine if they did the same to someone else and so on and so forth. The world would be a better place if we spread more love and positivity in it.
