Meet Serai Wilson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Serai Wilson.

Hi Serai, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
When I first started off, I was a single Blogger in New York. My first blog was “Little Dolly Big City”. After relocating to Georgia, I started my family and became a Mom blogger. I’m always on the go and so I felt it would be cool to document and share all of our adventures.

Today I’m still blogging but now I give insight to Mothers and families alike. I create an intentional posts that touch base on gentle parenting and how to navigate Georgia.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road hasn’t been smooth at all. I have been blogging for years but it’s not easy. As times change you have to as well. There is so much competition in this field but I try my best to make my own lane. Trying to juggle motherhood, being an educator, and being a blogger is hard. I try my best to be consistent when coming up with new topics. When trying to find new places to visit, I have to make sure everyone is up to it. Working with children itself is a challenge. Sometimes they don’t want to see a camera or go out but they still have fun.

I feel being consistent is why I have gotten this far. I know I can always be better. I want to give more in 2023. I want to give better ways to parents, more beauty, and more locations.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I share our adventures of living in Georgia. I specialize in finding places for families to enjoy. When doing this, I give the best insight into the best deals, incredible spaces, and fun activities. I’m known for being the “Adventure Mom”. I love showing families how to navigate the great outdoors.

I guess what sets me apart is I’m not afraid to be myself. When you meet mom bloggers now, everything seems so cliche and I just keep it real. On my blog, I talk about fashion, crafts, and motherhood.

What I’m most proud of is when moms actually write to me asking my opinion about a venue or place before they take their family. It’s almost like they need my stamp of approval.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
The surprising thing about my brand is that didn’t really get off the ground until 2016 but I started in 2011. I’m also in school for Interior Design and so at times, I try to incorporate those elements as well. Also for a long time, I used to do book reviews which I feel I want to go back to. On our website, we sell books through bookshop.org.

On our website, there is a link to buy books for your family.
