Community Highlights: Meet Nurse P.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nurse P.

Hi Nurse P, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a registered nurse with over 15 years of experience in healthcare. I am originally from Queens, New York. I moved to Georgia in 2012 to finish my bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology and to care for my grandfather. I completed my psychology degree at Argosy University in Atlanta, GA. I received a position as a doctor’s assistant at The Amen Clinic, a psychiatric clinic in Atl. While working there, I learned a lot about the mind and body connection. My fascination grew immensely. I shortly decided to pursue nursing to learn more.

After graduating from Mercer University, I landed a position as a registered nurse at Emory University Hospital. A year after working at Emory, I got a contract as a travel nurse at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. My nurse specialties are neuroscience/neurology, renal, orthopedic, trauma, and general medical surgical.

After two and a half years of working in the hospitals, I started to feel the “burnout”. I took a leap of faith and retired from working in the hospital. I didn’t have a job lined up, but I knew that everything would work out. After interviewing with few home health agencies, I secured a position as a RN Case Manager and Supervisor.

While I was in between jobs, I worked on my fragrance brand PAREE SUGANDGH. PAREE SUGANDH promotes whole-body wellness. I did a lot of research on the science of scent and its connection to our emotions and memory. The purpose of PAREE SUGANDH is for aromatherapy.  Having beautiful fragrances is a plus!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road for me. However, I do my best not to complain. Instead, I make the necessary changes needed to change the circumstances. I have a motto that says “If I start complaining about something on a daily basis, then it’s time for change!”

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am known as Nurse P the Nurse Spiritualist. I have been studying spirituality for six years. I love teaching ways to heal through spirituality on my social platforms. My tagline is prayer, meditation, and affirmations. With those three practices, we can heal from external and physical wounds, manifest our reality, and achieve our goals.

What sets me apart from other people is that I make everyone feel comfortable to be around me. I have a great sense of energy. When I meet someone for the first time, I like them to know that it’s a no judgment zone. If we don’t want to be judged, why do we judge other people?

I am proud to announce my brand PAREE SUGANDH!

In India, PAREE SUGANDH means fairy fragrance. I am of Jamaica West Indies descent and my name is pronounced (PAR-EE). When I meet someone from India, it’s not unusual for them to let me know that my name means fairy. I was sure I wanted to name my brand PAREE SUGANDH when my Indian coworker said, “When something is beautiful, we say it’s a Paree”.

I had a soft launch/pop-up for PAREE SUGANDH at KD Designs Studio in Alpharetta. The theme was Spa Day and Wellness with the ladies! Kesha Denise set up the beautiful décor for my candles. Snehikunnu (love) and No. 7 (Soul’s Mission) candles are made by me! The Snehikunnu candle has rose petals throughout the candle and topped with rose quartz crystals. It’s therapeutic purpose is to increase self-love and the connection of God’s love (rose oud, patchouli, and resins scented). Candle No. 7 has eucalyptus leaves throughout the candle and topped with clear quartz. Candle No 7’s purpose is for cleansing and rebirth (palo santo and sage scented). I am working diligently to add more products before launching! Please stay tuned!

The official launch of PAREE SUGANDH is November 18th, 2022. Please follow my social to stay connected and be one of the first to know when it will launch!

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I love to dance to Whitney Houston the night before a big event or speaking engagement! Her songs “How Will I Know” and “I Want to Dance with Somebody” always make me feel free and I reduce my stress level.
