Today we’d like to introduce you to Elyse Whisby.
Hi Elyse, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have a 21-year background in accounting. I have several businesses. So, I understand how money works. I now have grown to know the beauty world. I know how the skin and the body work. With these two grateful skills, I decided to take all my knowledge and share it to those who want to empower themselves and grow into entrepreneurs. Upon attending different networking events, I met people from all walks of life. With these introductions came exposure to different styles of makeup and beauty enhancement choices. I knew I wanted to aid in helping others see themselves beautiful and training others to aid this properly.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ascension by Elyse started as a mobile business a few years back offering body contouring and lymphatic massages only. Then the pandemic happened and the business decreased. Gas prices were too high to offer my normal services at the prices before. Some clients could not afford in-home services while finances were tight all over the world. With no bbl client referrals coming and people afraid to get out of the house. Business was getting slower and slower. So I reached out to one of my mentors and asked her about allowing me to come to learn some other beauty techniques to expand my brand. I am now able to offer more services and training. Being able to do so has helped dramatically. The increase has allowed me to open our new 3000 sqft Spa and Training Institute.

What I would like for everyone to know that Ascension is more than the name, but an actual vision for the future of beauty and aesthetics. We are not here to reinvent the wheel but to give the wheel a newfound confidence and look to roll on through life flawlessly. We specialize in areas of beauty that allow the body to use its natural form to rejuvenate, reinvent and realign itself. We are merely the body’s guides and inspiration. We’re especially proud of our natural products because they don’t disrupt the body’s existing balance and composition.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success, to me is defined as Simply Understand Career Course, Eliminate Stumbles Swiftly… Identify your goal and don’t deter from it. Obstacles will come, but you must embrace them and move forward in spite of them.
