Today we’d like to introduce you to Katelyn Youngblood.

Hi Katelyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey y’all! I’m Katelyn, owner of Sweet & Sassy Apron. I have always had a passion for creating beautiful dishes and being in the kitchen. I started in the kitchen from the moment I could stand, having fun with my mother, grandmothers and other family members. Whether it was helping mix or wash dishes, I was always there! I am a culinary school graduate and it was truly the best experience. I would do it all over again if I could! It definitely helped broaden my knowledge of food.

From recipe development, cocktails, highlighting other businesses & so much more, it’s all about having fun in the kitchen, supporting one another and always using quality ingredients.

When you hear of Sweet & Sassy Apron, think LOCAL. You are not only supporting me & my dream but also these so many other small business owners.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a fairly smooth road so far with Sweet & Sassy Apron. I’ve been allowed some amazing opportunities along the way and for that, I am forever grateful!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As of right now, my focus is on recipe development and working with other local brands/businesses. I love working in the kitchen and creating new recipes! It truly brings me so much JOY.

I would say I am known for being so passionate and always finding a way to support other local businesses. Referrals really are the best kind of advertisement!

I am most proud of sticking with this journey. Some days I get stuck in a rut or feel like I may never get to where I want to be, but I always remind myself that dreams do not chase themselves. I have BIG dreams for the future of Sweet & Sassy Apron!

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I wouldn’t necessarily say that I’ve had luck growing my business, but I will say that my creative name has made me stand out. I worked for days writing down every word that described myself and my passion to come up with Sweet & Sassy Apron.
