Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren and Tyler Stanley.
Hi Lauren and Tyler, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since 2015 I have been a full-time real estate agent here in Atlanta. In the summer of 2021, during the height of the home-buying frenzy, many of my real estate clients were having a difficult time finding a moving company to help them. Even still, when they were able to book a company, many had negative experiences through that process. So, my wife, Lauren, and I started researching the moving and transportation industry. Lauren is a practicing attorney, which I think gave us an advantage right from the start in understanding the ins and outs of transportation regulations and requirements. Long before I began my career in real estate, I had also worked for a transportation and delivery service through college. So, we had a fairly solid foundation to get us started.
In the Spring of 2022, after completing the federal and state regulatory requirements to operate our moving company, we got into the hiring phase. That’s when we brought on Nick Garrity as a partner and the third member of our team. Nick has a background in business growth and development. He has done an amazing job recruiting talented crew members, heading up many of the jobs to help us refine our processes and creating an atmosphere of positivity throughout our company.
We completed our first move in September of 2022 and have been non-stop since then. Many of our customers have come from our valued real estate agent partners across the metro Atlanta area. The mission of Terminus Moving is to raise the standards of customer service, communication and reliability in the moving industry. Lauren, Nick and I are very hands-on with the business and at least one of us communicates directly with each and every customer.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Just like starting any business from scratch, it hasn’t been a smooth ride every day. However, we were prepared for that and we keep moving forward with a positive attitude. The truth is, it was easy, everyone would do it. The biggest hurdle we’ve encountered has been recruiting and retaining crew members. The three of us have learned a great deal over the past 6 months and we are thankful for those growth and learning opportunities.

Terminus Moving was founded by Husband and Wife team Lauren and Tyler Stanley. We are a Veteran-owned business. Tyler is a U.S. Navy veteran who served through Operation Iraqi Freedom in the early 2000s. We have been in business moving household goods since Fall 2022. We offer household goods moving and packing services as well as junk removal and basic labor for smaller jobs. We are a customer service-focused moving company determined to raising the bar in the moving and storage industry. As a company, I’m proud not only of our dedication to our customers but also our dedication to our employees. Lauren, Nick and I are constantly asking what we can do to make sure the crew feels appreciated and taken care of. When our employees feel appreciated, they transfer that care and attention to the customer.
