Conversations with Kirbi Thatch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kirbi Thatch.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was raised in Georgia and I’ve been here practically all my life. I’m a former army brat so I was born outside of the United States. I moved to Georgia at the age of two and I’ve been here ever since. I’ve been a dental hygienist for the past four years and I love my job. I started my food blog about a year ago to document my many experiences and activities throughout Georgia. As a girl who is a foodie at heart, I love using this platform to interact with my followers and recommend new restaurants to them as well as activities. I also love how blogging provides an outlet for me to express my creative side through the content and format of my videos.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Content creation is not an easy avenue. The market is definitely saturated with so many bloggers covering the same restaurants and activities. While I enjoy blogging and sharing my experiences with my followers it can be costly and very time-consuming although I do enjoy it. As someone who is a very organized person, I have definitely learned how to balance my full-time job, content creation and my personal life. As of now, I cover mostly food and restaurants but I would love to branch out into more activities and hopefully even travel content one day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a food influencer on Instagram and TikTok. My handle is Kirbi_eats. I love introducing my audience to new up-and-coming restaurants as well as activities throughout Georgia. In Atlanta, there is always something to do and somewhere to go so the content opportunities are endless. With the weather starting to warm up I hope to provide more content surrounding fun outdoor activities, festivals and even concerts. Content creation has not been an easy road but I’m grateful for the success and exposure I’ve had thus far. I hope to continue growing not only my following but also my outreach. I would love to partner with a big brand one day and dive more into travel content.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next few years, I’ll continue to strive for growth. Who knows what the future will bring but I have no doubt there are positive things in my future! I’m not exactly sure what my content creation will look like in the next 5 to 10 years but whatever it is I’m sure it’ll be fun and captivating! If your a restaurant or business owner and you would like to collaborate please contact me at [email protected].
