Conversations with Krysta Covington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krysta Covington.

Hi Krysta, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a Published author of the book entitled: LifeLine Defeating Depression and Suicide among Teens & Young Adults. I started my outreach program online in 2019 to help young people statewide defeat depression and suicidal thoughts. I saw the need for more books and programs to help our youth and I decided to become a solution in the area of mental health. I am a model and an aspiring actress in the Atlanta area. I love to encourage others to have hope go after their dreams and put God first.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a very difficult road. I come from humble beginnings and my vision was most definitely larger than funds available, but I made it work. I appreciate the help I received from my community and business that contributed to making it possible. My ventures in acting has been challenging as well. I know all of the hard work will pay off and that’s the kind of perseverance I want the young people I support to understand. Life is hard but there is hope!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well, I have a few things I’m pursuing at the moment. My acting career has taken new heights I’ve transitioned from background acting to principle roles and it’s been so rewarding. It became a passion of mine. I use this platform to motivate and inspiring those struggling with mental health because dreams can come true. I believe that! I’ve known mostly for my roles as a teenager in films such as “ My Best Friends Exorcism” and also “Shazam Fury of the Gods” I’m most proud of my book I feel like my story will help so many people struggling with mental health. I’m set apart in many ways because I have passionate, I’ve come against so my odds and I’m willing to keep going no matter what comes against me because I know there are people in my life that are inspired because of me and I want them to know it’s possible.
