Daily Inspiration: Meet Myla Glenn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myla Glenn.

Hi Myla, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m from the south side of Atlanta and I started my clothing brand at the age of 15. Around the time I started, having a clothing brand was more common for males than females. I’ve always felt like if they could do it why couldn’t I?

Because of that way of thinking, I made sure that this was unisex. So therefore, I could satisfy everyone in my community.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This has honestly been one of the most stressful processes that I’ve been through in life right now. But I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I started out in my mom’s basement, then shortly moved to my grandma’s house. I didn’t even have a table nor press machine so most times I was working on the floor with my handheld iron.

Shortly after, I got gifted a table/ press machine and was able to set up shop in my room. That’s when things started to pick up.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My clothing brand is something that’s very close to my heart because I make everything myself.

It’s been like that from the start. Every emblem, placement, color coordination and saying is all me.

What’s next?
I can’t predict the future because I don’t know what it’ll bring. Ideally, I would love my own warehouse with employees that work for me.

Something I do know that’ll change in the future is getting away from making everything myself and hiring a manufacturer. As long as I have 100% creative control over everything I will be set.
