Daily Inspiration: Meet Tishawn Ellis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tishawn Ellis.

Hi Tishawn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always had a love for music since a kid. I remember the first time I fell in love with music when I heard the rapper that goes by the name of Big L; that’s what I knew I wanted to be a rapper. Also, I always was a good writer and storyteller. I also always had a love for r&b. So I have become both rapper and singer.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With the industry at an all-time high, it is extremely hard to break through everyone is trying to get on. Lol, But it’s the love of music that keeps me going. Growing up the middle child out of five children, I always knew what competition felt like and I was definitely ready to compete.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve been known for being able to wrap off of anything any type of beat any style of music if the beat is hot I’m on it.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I feel like staying true to myself and being original right in my own music and making beats has made me a beast. At a young age, I learned to mix down and master my own music I had my own studio at the age of 16. I’ve worked with a long list of artists .tune in I will be dropping two albums very soon called The Green Light and yours truly one rap and the other r&b.
