Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantal Smith.

Hi Chantal, we are so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Thanks for having me! I am excited to share my story about how Olive+Company was created. Olive+Company, A Pet Care Service, INC was established in December 2022 following a lifelong dream to work with dogs. In the late summer of 2022, I was in a horrible car accident which caused me to stop and reflect on life and my happiness. I’ve been in the social work profession for years and was ready for a career move. I’ve always cared for pups my entire life and even became a professional pet care provider as a hobby. During my time of reflection those few months, dog care services organically developed into my primary profession. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business is never smooth, but it has been going better than I imagined! I am a first-time business owner, so learning about the pet care industry and running a business has been a journey of growth. Struggles I have faced have to do with work/life balance as my business tends to spill into my personal life since Olive + Company is so much a part of me! Thankfully, with lots of encouragement and advice from my village, I have recently hired some amazing team members. Our new team members’ coverage assists me maintaining the much-needed balance I was seeking.  

We’ve been impressed with Olive+Company, A Pet Care Service, INC., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Olive +Company, A Pet Care Service is Georgia’s new premiere dog care service. Our team is as diverse and amazing as our clients. Olive the Yorkie is Chantal’s pup and the muse for our company. We cater to your pup’s needs and pride ourselves as being your pups’ second family and home. 

We offer concierge services, including roam-free dog boarding with unlimited outdoor time with no more than four dogs being cared for daily. We also offer quality dog walking services that can be used one-time or reoccurring every week; dog taxi service to get pups to and from their home to the vet, groomer, and daycare with Olive +Company; as well as drop-in sitting services (the pup stays at home). There is nothing pups need that is “too much” for us to provide. We provide a quality, premium, boutique experience for all pups that is consistent and reliable. 

Olive+Company, A Pet Care Service, prides ourselves on our clients initially starting as clients and continuing repeat services as family to care for their pups! 

 What’s next?
 Olive+Company, A Pet Care Service, plans to continue to build a solid foundation and create a new and fresh narrative for quality dog care services. We plan to expand to offer our pups a true staycation with a superior quality on-site pup house; as well as selling Olive+Company merchandise to help spread our brand’s love of dogs and the amazing care that we offer.
