Hidden Gems: Meet JaVanta Haskins of I AM H3R SOLUTION 4 U

Today we’d like to introduce you to JaVanta Haskins.

Hi JaVanta, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I launched & started my business, “I AM H3R SOLUTION 4 U, LLC” online store on September 1st, 2020, after graduating with my Bachelor’s in Health Sciences & making the DEANS LIST! I’m originally from Hopkinsville, Kentucky (“HOPTOWN” to most), which is forty-five minutes from Nashville, TN & four & a half hours from Atlanta. I’ve been here in Atlanta for eight years now as a single mother of two beautiful children who are practically teenagers now, 17 & 11! The South Side of Atlanta, “CLAYTON COUNTY” to be exact has always been the area where me & my kids resided; it reminds me of home. I was able to start my business by keeping GOD as the CENTER & FOREFRONT OF MY FOUNDATION AT ALL TIMES & also with the help, motivation, encouragement & also support from the people close to me, including my amazing kids Ma’Leah & Jamar, my amazing parents Marilyn Kendrick Jackson & Jesse Haskins Jr./Alondra McKellum, my amazing ex-bosses who I love & look to as role models Dr. Stephen & Lisa Cooper, my beautiful sisters Renee Bryant, Shamerica Winfree, Lydia Torian & Trenatee Solomon & amazing Auntie Lydia Haskins.

After launching my online store, I was able to start shipping my business products directly from home to so many states, including California, Texas, Virginia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Kentucky & More! My very first in-person launch for my business was very small & personal back home in Kentucky, which consisted of my family & friends during my sister’s memorial & I literally SOLD OUT of everything! As you can see from the photos above, I started with just lashes & adult shades on a small wooden folding table. Months later, I added I AM H3R Boss Glosses, Kids Shades(Mommy & Me), Blinged Headbands, Hairpins, Wigs & more! Seven months into the business, I was able to land my first few Pop Up Shops in my hometown in Kentucky when my cousin Renita Myhand sent me information to set up with the Celebrity Yandy Smith-Harris here in Atlanta, not knowing Yandy would eventually invite me & my business back SIX PLUS TIMES & also purchase from my business twice!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ll be the first of many small business owners to admit that after running my business for three years now, I truly & genuinely love what I do. Although it hasn’t been the smoothest road while trying to run a business on my own due to the lack of consistent help, I’ve been able to find my balance here lately by going at my own pace & not the pace of the world or based off of how someone else is running their business. I was recently interviewed by “SHOUT OUT ATLANTA MAGAZINE” & they literally asked me the same question about the challenges of running a business. Some of the things that we as business owners don’t like to discuss is the losses we take, which can range from people stealing from you, taking your products & not advertising, bad investments, etc. The brighter side of the losses is that you can WRITE IT OFF on your yearly taxes! Minus the struggles along the way, I’m literally flourishing right now with my business with amazing invites from different business owners, different states, celebrities & events in Atlanta, including most recently the “Sweet Aurburn Spring Festival 37th Anniversary 2023” & also upcoming the “Atlanta Ultimate Women’s Expo 30th Anniversary” November 11, 2023. I think that the more years you’re in business the more experiences you get to learn & grow!

Although I’ve been in the medical field for twelve years now & obtained two degrees, an Associates In Applied Sciences & Bachelor’s In Health Sciences, while being a single mother, I can OFFICIALLY say I’ve been a SMALL BUSINESS OWNER now since September 1st, 2023. That’s three years & counting of hard work, dedication, faith, consistency & prayers. I’m known for selling beauty products that enhance the “NATURAL BEAUTY” all women acquire, no matter the ethnicity at an AFFORDABLE PRICE! It’s very hard to choose which product I’m the most proud of because I literally wear EVERYTHING DAILY, but if I really had to choose it’ll be the mink lashes & Boss gloss!

What’s next?
My plan for the future is to open up a boutique here in Atlanta on the Southside where I originally started. I’m currently now preparing to set up my business at the “Atlanta Ultimate Women’s Expo 30th Anniversary” on November 11th, 2023 with my son Jamar, sister Lydia Torian & niece Kyla. This particular event will for sure give my business the drive & push it needs to continue to grow with an even bigger & exquisite group of women who speak & seek business equality & elevation. Keeping GOD as the center & forefront of my foundation with my faith in tack along with consistency, persistence & determination, my business will be even bigger than what it’s already going to be and is today!
