Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
New business ventures are never smooth. Navigating the sales trends, staffing, inventory, and licensing/taxes/fees can at times seem overwhelming. I have learned to prioritize, and my priority is meeting those smiling faces as they walk through the door. My greatest achievement has been the relationships I have made with customers/new friends. I always say that when I left corporate life my world got smaller but opened up in ways that career didn’t offer.

Would I do it again? Absolutely, without hesitation. My store is my pride and joy.

We’ve been impressed with Town Square Olive Oil, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Town Square Olive Oil is a small gourmet specialty store. We sell high-quality olive oil, balsamic vinegar, spices, jams & jellies, pasta, wine, and hand-stuffed olives.

I try to find products not readily available to consumers. We are proud to offer tasting of most of the products making Town Square Olive Oil a destination for fun as well as shopping.

The goal of the store is to create a welcoming atmosphere. Hands-on customer service is our focus. The shelves hold many products and can be intimidating if you have never experienced it so we guide the customer through the process, allowing them to taste and explore the possibilities of the flavors.

I would say I am most proud of our Greek line of oils. Having visited the farm in Skala Greece and seen the care and passion the family has in producing the best quality olive oil in the world I can without a doubt say that this is a superior product.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I travel when I can. I try new recipes, see the world, and learn other cultures.
