Life & Work with Golda Davis

Hi Golda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always had a love for photography, ever since I was a young girl. I can remember the first camera my parents got me at seven years old, a Pentax K1000. I always had a camera with me everywhere I went. Especially once my first son was born. My love and passion for photography quickly changed into a means to capture all the moments of him and his brother growing up. After many prayers and encouragement from family and friends, I ventured out of my comfort zone to pursue my passion. This leap of faith into professional photography was driven by my love for the craft and a desire to share my talent with others.

Today, we offer a wide array of services, including family, children, couples, wedding, maternity, newborn, and sports photography. I hope that my passion for capturing life’s most significant moments will not only shape my business but also resonate deeply with my clients. My husband, Dustin, plays an integral role in our business, acting as a second shooter and videographer at weddings and large events. We hope that our clients see us as a dynamic team, capturing their memories through both stills and motion.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Fear, I would say is my biggest obstacle. Fear of failure, I am a perfectionist and people pleaser, which makes me my own worst enemy at times. Thanks to my loving husband and encouragement from friends, family, and especially the best clients anyone could ask for. They give me the confidence to continue to pursue my passion and keep growing my business.

Lifestyle Photography – Family, children, couples, engagement, elopement, wedding, maternity, newborn, and sports photography.

We have recently added Videography to our services.

We want to be more than just your photographer or videographer. We want our clients to feel like family.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Happiness to me is doing something you love. I get to experience that everyday with photography. Marc Anthony said it best, “ If you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life.”

What makes me happy, my family. Spending quality time and creating memories with them.
