Inspiring Conversations with Mona Deloach of Mona’s World

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mona Deloach.

Hi Mona, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
This is always such a hard question to answer. My story is similar to a lot of other black women who were born to a single parent. I was born into a world where I began to immediately inherit my mother’s trauma, which she inherited from the women that she came from and so on and so forth.

I can remember the pivotal moments in my life vividly — growing fruits and vegetables, motivating friends through their problems, selling bags of sugar and Kool-Aid in the 3rd grade, and even starting my own form of currency. I remember believing that I was going to be greeted by Hagrid to haul me off to Hogwarts, writing poems and creating short stories. All those moments growing up shaped who I am today.

Today, I host a podcast called Mona’s World of Becoming where I empower, motivate, and uplift others to make the impactful changes necessary to become the individuals of their dreams. Recently, I completed my book titled “Ok, so… what’s NEXT?” I am also a spiritualist and ascension coach, guiding individuals on their career, business, and personal journeys.

This is the shortest explanation of how I got here and the briefest description of what “here” even is. My journey has been a tapestry woven with diverse experiences, and through it all, I’ve found my purpose in empowering others to embark on their own paths of becoming.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a very tumultuous road for me. Up until around 24, I experienced all types of hurdles and trauma that should have deterred me from pursuing my goals. However, one thing about me is that I have always been determined to prove myself and anyone else who doubted me wrong.

My greatest hurdle towards becoming a spiritualist, tarot reader, and herbalist was the judgment that I perceived from my childhood “friends” and my family. My first actual business that I opened was called Ethereal Enchantment, and the slogan was, “we believe in the healing power of nature.” I offered a variety of intention candles, healing bath soaks, herbal healing products, soaps, and more. My grandmother told me I was committing a great sin because it wasn’t acceptable to create products to use candles and bath soaks that would interfere with God’s plans. I also was consistently told I was going to hell, and people assumed I was into devil worshiping. I ultimately closed that business, but I think about it every day. I guess the greatest challenge that I have had to overcome thus far is the shame that comes along with success and doing things outside of the norm for the people around me.

I spent the last year really working through showing up as my most authentic self no matter who it offends. The result was my book, my podcast, my tarot business, a growing YouTube channel, and my strategic solutions business (I have been working in this business for the past ten years consistently but have never openly shared that with others). Moving beyond my own self-imposed restrictions and limitations has been a significant challenge for me as well.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I manage two primary businesses, Mona’s World of Tarot and Ethereal Strategies, encompassing the majority of my work. Both serve the purpose of providing solutions and clarity, empowering individuals to move forward in their lives with the necessary tools for success.

In my tarot business, I engage with people from diverse backgrounds, delivering readings that draw upon my roles as a spiritual mentor, certified life coach, and practicing herbalist. Embracing the motto “The sense baby make it,” my readings go beyond simply picking up the cards. I combine my skills, assets, the gift of intuition, and more to help people navigate life. While a typical tarot reader might predict challenges like job loss or relationship issues, my approach extends to providing actionable steps, journal prompts, resources, recommended readings, personalized affirmations, and whatever else clients may need. Some clients connect with me regularly, creating vision boards based on readings and setting and achieving their goals.

In the Ethereal Strategies business, I offer strategic solutions for individuals in their careers, businesses, and personal lives. Since the age of 18, I’ve been writing resumes, creating documents, contracts, and flyers, coaching through interviews, designing websites and logos, writing business plans, and providing mentorship. Over the years, requests expanded, prompting me to learn new skills, leveraging both my acquired knowledge and corporate experience. The goal is to make these services accessible to everyone, regardless of their budget. Launching both businesses has allowed me to bridge the gap between my desire to help others endlessly and the need for compensation for my time and expertise.

What I want readers to know about my brand is that Mona’s World of Tarot and Ethereal Strategies are more than just businesses – they are platforms designed to empower individuals on their journeys. Both businesses share a common thread of empowerment, bridging the gap between wanting to help others endlessly and the need for fair compensation. In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5-10 years, I anticipate a continued embrace of spirituality, self-improvement, and accessible solutions. As the millennial generation, including myself, grows older and exerts influence on the world, there’s a growing openness to personal growth and development. We recognize that others may be better equipped to assist us in navigating these changes.

While the trajectory of life is evolving rapidly, it’s challenging to predict specific industry shifts. However, I foresee a continued trend of people seeking avenues for personal growth and empowerment. As societal norms change and technology advances, the demand for easily accessible solutions in the realms of spirituality and self-improvement will likely persist.

Personally, I am committed to growing with the times and adapting to these changes. My focus remains true to my soul’s purpose, which is to empower others to grow and evolve towards their greatest potential. Whether through tarot readings, coaching, or strategic solutions, my aim is to be a guiding force for individuals seeking positive transformation amid the evolving landscape of life.
