Conversations with Mikayla Blalock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mikayla Blalock.

Mikayla Blalock

Hi Mikayla, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am Mikayla Blalock; my Platform is “Motivational Kayla, “ where I speak and empower people to always keep going! My mother transitioned when I was 16 years old, and my identity changed as well while I was trying to find my identity of who I truly was without my best friend. I leaned on God, and I depended on God! My faith grew stronger, my identity grew stronger, and it formed into a whole movement through Motivational Kayla!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it didn’t haven’t been a smooth road! I often think of the song by Lee Williams & Spiritual Q C’s, “I Can’t Give Up. “.it definitely helps me get through those moments in this journey called “LIFE.” It’s not easy doing life without my mother!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
One thing that I am Proud of is the Women that Keep PUSHING KEEP FIGHTING!!! I host women’s Empowerment events, and I am so thankful and grateful for the outpour that God has every year and how the breakthrough happens! My main thing is if at least one person has been encouraged or empowered, I am doing the right thing!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I am a preacher’s kid, so of course, I have been in the church all my life, and that has definitely played a role in my childhood! I am a daddy’s girl, I remember multiple people repeatedly saying, “You are Wise beyond your years” I never understood it until I got older but, I was the girl that kept the microphone in her mouth singing any chance I get and look at me now still got it in my mouth!
