Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamika Terry
Hi Tamika, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a full time makeup artist based in Atlanta, ga. The start of my journey was very uncertain but passion kept me going. I went to school for esthetics a few times before actually completing the program in 2016 , then I went on to take makeup classes and got an opportunity to assist on a YouTube series. That opportunity opened up the door for me to start doing independent film projects.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My entrepreneurial career in makeup has taught me to trust the process literally; there’s slow times and there’s times when I need assistants, and overflowing with Work.
Trying to balance my work and home life can sometimes make me feel a little guilty, but I spend a lot of time with my family whenever I can, I’ve become more intentional about the small things. Money management is also something I had to learn by trial and error. How to pay myself, reinvest, and save

I’m a licensed esthetician, and with a focus of makeup artistry. I specialize in soft glam . I am really good at enhancing a person’s natured beauty. I’m most proud of my retention rate. I’ve had some clients for years , and appreciate the ability to grow with my clients as trends change and my skill set improves
