Today we’d like to introduce you to Jack Noonan
Hi Jack, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into real estate didn’t really start until I was hired out of law school. I went through law school not really knowing what I wanted to specifically do. I knew that I wanted to work with contracts in some type of transactional law. However, I did not even think real estate was an avenue.
That was until I was hired by my first law firm, and it completely changed my thoughts. Being a real estate attorney isn’t like any other type of law. I like to call it happy law where you are either giving someone keys to a house or money for a house. Because of that, many people are happy with you. That isn’t always the case in the legal world.
I also quickly learned how much we impact someone’s life multiple times in a day. It may be just an hour real estate closing, but for the client, it’s one of their most important days in their life. First time home buyers, a family selling a house they grew up in. So many of these examples are important reminders to how cool our work is.
I am now four years into my real estate law career, and I am working for the best firm in the city, Weissman PC. I am the head attorney in our Perimeter location, and I am humbled going to work every day knowing the position and place I am in. It is an exciting place to be, and the journey has only just begun as I continue to build my career in real estate law.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, my road has been relatively smooth. I am blessed that the struggles along the way have only been adjusting to change and new responsibilities. The road has definitely been long as I went from one law firm to another. The jump to the next firm was hard as my original firm taught my the foundation of what I know today. However, the opportunities were clear with the firm I am with now that was a good choice for me to make, even as it was difficult in the moment.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Weissman Law?
I am the lead/managing attorney of our Perimeter office. Weissman has 18 offices all over greater Atlanta and one office in Savannah. We have multiple practice areas, but I specialize in Residential Real Estate. Mainly, the closing process on residential property. Our team works with real estate agents and the lenders to close on houses.
What sets my firm apart from the other firms in the area is the personal experience we give for each and every closing we handle. Our main goal is to make the closing feel more like an experience over a transaction. Unfortunately, this happens a lot in the industry and the closing does not feel personal. What sets me apart I would say is the hands on mentality I have for most of my closings. If there are any questions or issues that come up, I want to be a direct personal contact to find an answer or solution as soon as possible. This also goes toward my age in the industry. I am one of a few younger attorneys in the real estate space, and it brings a different feel to the closing room with the relatability with first time homebuyers and other clients who come through the office. A seamless is what we strive for. We will make it happen.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
With real estate, we wear many different hats. The support can be reaching out to our firm with any needs you may have. Either with a residential closing or litigation, we can handle your needs and make it happen
