Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Richards

Hi Antonio, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started recording music in high school in my hometown New Orleans, LA. In 2007, I relocated to Georgia to finish my schooling at the Art Institute of Atlanta. In 2008 I received my Associates in Audio Production. In early 2009, I started freelancing providing studio time(recording), mixing & mastering, and music production to locals in the area.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a challenge due to competitive pricing from other audio engineers. I try to give a reasonable price for clients but sometimes it is difficult depending on the type of service they require. Also, sometimes finding artists who are dedicated to their craft can be frustrating at times.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a freelance audio engineer/producer. I specialize in recording music as well as voice overs. I also offer mixing and mastering services for artists. I am most proud of showcasing a finished product to an artist and knowing that I am helpful to them getting their music ideas out to the world. I believe in taking my time and perfecting a song before I release it to the artist. A lot of times people may record a song in a few minutes to one hour and be done with it. However, I prefer quality over quantity. If that means I need to work on a project for hours or even days I will do so. The artist always love the end product for that reason.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Creating music and helping artists with their ideas and concepts makes me happy. It is a great feeling knowing that I can help creative people with their visions.
