Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Ruff
Hi Brittney, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It took a long time for me to figure out what I wanted to do in life. I’ve always had a passion for skincare and I just wanted to work in a relaxing environment. I started my esthetics journey in Columbia, South Carolina where I completed my schooling. I immediately fell in love with being an esthetician. I moved to Atlanta have now been doing esthetics for 2 years. I get to help people relax and transform their skin. People always leave my room glowing and happy, and I’ll never get tired of that.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was tough figuring out what type of environment I wanted to work in. Did I want to open my own business right away? Did I want to work in a spa? A med-spa? I didn’t really know at first. I tried working at a large corporate owned franchise for a while, but soon figured out that wasn’t the right place for me. I like to have creative freedom and to be able to show off my work. I’m much happier where I am at now.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Im an esthetician. I do facials and facial treatments, as well as brows, lashes, and waxing. Facials are great to remove dead skin, clean out the pores, and get the skin hydrated. My facials help people with anti-aging, acne, or just to relax. Some of the great treatments I offer are chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, jet plasma, radio frequency skin tightening, and led light therapy. I do brow laminations, lash lifts, brow and lash tinting, and facial waxing as well. I would say that my specialty is anti-aging. I have some amazing before and after pictures where you can see wrinkles disappear, even after just one session. I am constantly learning new techniques and new treatments to give my clients the best of the best. I want every person that enters my room to leave there feeling confident in the way they look.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I feel that my best quality is being empathetic. I really do take on peoples emotions when I’m touching their skin. I can feel how much their skin issues are bothering them, or even how stressed they are from their day. My clients and I really build a trust in each other. They tell me about their life, their issues, their passions, and I’m there to listen and be there for them in whatever way they need.
