Meet Leah Laiani of Atlanta, GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Laiani

Hi Leah , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Fayetteville, NC. At the age of 2 I moved to Atlanta, GA. I started showing my parents that I was interested in music at 3 years old. I would go around the house free styling. At the current age of 8 I finally got into the studio and recorded my first single called “Stop It” Oct of 2023. I released in February of 2024 in which I was the youngest to hit #1 on a countdown for CoCo Filipino’s The Culture Countdown on Hot 97.9 in Raleigh, NC. My first time performing was with my dance team a little after and then I went on to other shows such as the Lay Lay show in New Jersey amongst other shows. People started reaching out to book me such as the city of Raleigh after hearing I went #1. I’ve been booked and busy since. In April of 2024, I released my latest single “Watch Me Do It” that everyone loves doing the dance to.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Yes, it has been pretty smooth so far. To just have started not even a year ago everything has been amazing and moving faster than me and my mom thought.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a kid rapper/influencer. I do positive rap and letting kids know it’s ok to get good grades and just have fun. I am most proud of being the youngest to do certain things. People interview me and say I’m the youngest or even the first kid they have ever interviewed, been on a radio show, or even the youngest to hit certain stages. I’m proud to have my own cartoon character that I plan to put to use. I am putting together my first concert “Leah Laiani & Friends Concert” September 21, 2024, it’s going to be a great time and I’m so excited.

What sets me apart from others is that I’m me. I love what I do, I do it because I was born to do it, and I love that I can bring positivity to others and people just love me.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see myself up there with people who I look up to such as That Girl Lay Lay. I am an artist but I’m more than just that. I see myself acting, modeling, teaching kids positivity and having a huge fanbase and impact on my peers lives.
