Hi Kenneth, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey began with a deep desire to make a meaningful impact on society. Growing up in a working-poor community in Georgia, I witnessed how undereducation and limited economic opportunities can stifle a community’s growth and sustainability. These experiences shaped my commitment to uplift disadvantaged communities by harnessing the power of business and finance to drive transformative change.

With extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, I began my career at United Parcel Service, leading global financial strategies. I later advanced to leadership roles at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and PwC, where I led initiatives in corporate finance, M&A, and management consulting.

Today, as President of KASHER Capital, I serve as a strategic advisor to transformative companies, guiding them through mergers and acquisitions, facilitating access to capital, improving working capital, optimizing investments, and leveraging emerging technologies to drive operational efficiencies. As a Venture Capital Partner with Erez Capital, I’m also deeply involved in nurturing early-stage tech companies, helping them grow and thrive in a competitive landscape.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I’m passionate about education and social impact. I earned my graduate degree from Harvard University, where I co-founded an EdTech startup focused on expanding access to quality education for out-of-school children in Africa. As Board Chair at Georgia Cyber Academy, I help govern one of the leading public schools in the state of Georgia. I also serve on boards of various impact organizations, where I’m committed to improving the well-being of underserved communities domestically and abroad.

Through all of my endeavors, my goal remains consistent: to leverage my capabilities, networks, and resources to create a lasting, positive impact in the communities I serve.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like many journeys worth taking, mine has been marked by challenges that tested my resolve and sharpened my capabilities. Upon leaving Corporate America to lead KASHER Capital, I could never have anticipated that a global pandemic would soon upend the world just as I made the leap into entrepreneurship. As a boutique financial services firm, we found ourselves navigating an unprecedented economic upheaval due to COVID-19. The uncertainty and global panic profoundly impacted the industries we served. One of the immediate challenges was the abrupt freeze in capital markets. With liquidity drying up and investor confidence plummeting, many of our clients faced severe cash flow constraints, making it difficult for them to sustain operations, let alone pursue growth opportunities. Mergers and acquisitions, a core component of our advisory services, were put on hold or canceled entirely as companies shifted focus to survival over expansion. This forced us to pivot quickly, concentrating on helping our clients navigate the crisis by restructuring debt and finding alternative financing solutions.

Balancing my professional ambitions with a desire to make a meaningful impact on education and social justice was another significant challenge. Co-founding an EdTech startup while pursuing a graduate degree at Harvard was an intense period that demanded tremendous energy and focus. Juggling these responsibilities, alongside serving on multiple boards and engaging in community service, was incredibly challenging. However, these experiences taught me the importance of resilience, time management, and staying grounded in my values.

Throughout these challenges, the support of family, colleagues, and my network was invaluable. Each struggle reinforced my belief in the importance of collaboration, innovation, and the power of staying true to one’s mission. These experiences have shaped the leader I am today, driving me to continually push the boundaries of what’s possible, both in business and in my efforts to give back to the community.
